Navy Counselor Master Chief (SW/AW) Keri Levy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Sarah T Reed High School located in New Orleans and graduated in May 2000. On January 17, 2001, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy and attended Recruit Training in Great Lakes, IL. He then reported to Meridian, MS where he attended Ships Serviceman (SH) “A” School.
His first duty station was the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) in San Diego, CA where he served in supply department (S-3 Division). During his tour, he completed three deployments to the Persian Gulf in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
In August of 2006, he reported to Enlisted Recruiting Orientation in Pensacola, FL and upon completion was assigned to NRD New Orleans/NRS Pace, FL as a recruiter and within nine months, he assumed the duties as the Recruiter in Charge (RinC). After conversion to the Career Recruiting Force (CRF), he assumed the duties and responsibilities as the RinC of NRS Pensacola, attended the CRF Academy, and selected to Chief Petty Officer.
His next tour was at NRD St. Louis, where he served as Command Trainer and Division Leading Chief Petty Officer (DLCPO). His team was selected Division of the Year for FY13, FY14 and earned Small, Medium, and Large Stations of the Year.
January 2014, he transferred to NRD New York. As the DLCPO for Long Island, his division earned NRD New York’s Division of the Year, and he was selected as Navy Recruiting Region East’s DLCPO of the Year. In June 2015 he was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer and was assigned as the Officer Assistant Chief Recruiter (OACR).
January 2017, He transferred to Commander Navy Recruiting Command as the Director of Diversity and Outreach for the Northeast Region. May 2018, He transferred to NRD San Antonio where he served The Assistant Chief Recruiter (OACR/EACR) He led the transformation from NRD to NTAG San Antonio and served as the Director of Personnel for TAOC Alamo City and Capital City.
On July 2021, he promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer. Shortly after, Master Chief Levy became the Chief Recruiter (CR) of NTAG New Orleans and is now the CR of NTAG San Antonio.
Master Chief Levy is a graduate from the Senior Enlisted Academy and his military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (6), Navy Achievement Medal (6) and various unit and campaign awards.
