Command Master Chief Shane Ray Vandehey, a native of Lebanon, Oregon, comes from a military background; he is the son of an Air Force Mechanic, grandson of an Army Private First Class, and a Navy retired YNCS. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June of 2000.

Commander Ben “Biebs” Kroll was raised in Libby, Montana and graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
