BURGAS, Bulgaria – Under Commander Task Force (CTF) 68, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8 along with EOD technicians from the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group participated in the mine countermeasures (MCM) exercise Poseidon, Oct. 31-Nov. 10, 2024 in Burgas, Bulgaria. U.S. Navy EOD liaison officers were also invited to be observers and advisors aboard Bulgarian, Romanian, and Turkish ships conducting various exercise-related activities within Bulgarian territorial waters. The ships form part of the new Black Sea MCM Task Group.
